MAXAIRI DEPA

The Seki Magoroku Redwood series blade is made of 1K6 carbon stainless steel with a hardness of 57 (±1) HRC. Both the double-cut and single-cut knives feature long edge retention and excellent sharpness. The single-edge sharpening traditionally used for Japanese knives minimises friction between the blade and the material being cut, providing precision cutting required, for example, in preparing sushi.

The handle with the traditional chestnut shape is made of pakkawood. The high quality resin added to the wood makes the material very durable, moisture resistant and sits comfortably in the hand. The handle and blade are inserted into each other and are tightly connected by a black ring.
